Our qualifications

In over 30 years of professional experience in all relevant areas of the yachting industry, we have specialised as qualified and independent marine surveyors and experts in recreational crafts, sailing yachts and motor boats of all sizes from a small craft to a mega yacht.

Our team is fluent in German, English and Spanish, so we are also prepared to offer our certificates and reports in these three languages, which provides good communication and facilitates the understanding of the written documents.

Based in Mallorca our company has excellent flight connections allowing us to visit our customers world wide.

Our Managing Director Mr. Heiko Wittbold (Dip. Mar. Surv. Lloyd’s Maritime Academy) is authorised surveyor of the German Maritime Agencies “Berufsgenossenschaft Verkehr – Dienststelle Schiffssicherheit“ and “Wasserstraßen und Schifffahrtsamt Jade-Weser-Nordsee“ to undertake the coding under German small commercial vessel codes.

He is surveyor of GMDSS radio equipment recognised by the German Maritim Agency “Bundesamt für Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie”.

As recognised surveyors by the German Liquefied Gas Association („Deutscher Verband Flüssiggas e. V.“ ), we are authorised to test and approve liquefied gas systems on boats and to issue the corresponding certificates of inspection.

Heiko Wittbold is also a member of the VBS e.V. (Association of Sports Boat and Shipbuilding Surveyors), a German independent association of recognised boat and shipbuilding experts. As a members of the VBS e.V. he is an expert recognised by the association who had undergone an admission procedure based on defined quality requirements, such as profound professional training and extensive expertise. This expertise is continuously maintained and expanded through the association’s further training measures. The VBS Code of Conduct, which guides its members, corresponds to international standards.
